Excavator? Carrizo? Mana yang benar? Bukankah tadi CPU-z menyebut X4 845 dengan codename Carrizo? Lalu Excavator itu apa?Tenang, jangan panik, kami tahu Anda mungkin bingung soal penyebutan codename ini.
Secara sederhana, ‘Carrizo’ digunakan sebagai Codename sebuah APU lengkap (yang berarti berisi core prosesor, IGP, north bridge, dan chipset/IO controller), sedangkan ‘Excavator’ merupakan codename dari arsitektur core prosesor yang digunakan pada APU ‘Carrizo’. Sama halnya dengan ‘Kaveri’ merupakan codename dari APU, sedangkan ‘steamroller’ adalah codename dari arsitektur CPU core pada APU ‘Kaveri.
Apa yang spesial dari Excavator?
Di sini, kami tidak akan membahas arsitektur Excavator lebih dalam, karena kami sudah pernah melakukannya tahun lalu di sini. Secara singkat, Excavator adalah:
